altUpcoming changes for 2011

VWRC will continue in 2011. The championship management made many positive but also some negative experiences and therefore some changes will be applied into 2011 VWRC regulations.

Videos:
Video reporting did not work out that well. Unfortunately, some drivers sent their replays, but the majority ignored this rule. So we are not going to do any video reports next season. The replays still must be kept for 10 days and sent to the championship management on request.

Restarts:
There will be no possibility to restart a rally.

Enrolling:
Before the start of the season, there will be a deadline set, up to which enrolling is possible. You will NOT be able to enroll during the season!

Shootout:
Just like for 2010 season, there will be a shootout tournament about the WRC cars. Further information will follow...

Common evaluation:
Championship management discusses about a common evaluation, but nothing is firm yet.

Privateers Cup:
A Privateers Cup, driven with WRC cars, is discussed too. Further information will follow...

Kyon Rukawa wins Rally Finland

alt

The japanese Kyon Rukawa gains the victory at the VWRC Rally Finland in his Peugeot 206 WRC. All other favourites slip and lose very precious points.

VWRC

Kyon Rukawa celebrates his first win this season. Up to now, well-known for his consistent results, the japanese wins with a predominance of 49 seconds over the slovene Jernej Feltrin on Ford Focus RS WRC. Dennis Hernehult delivered a very strong performance too. He places 3rd, 14.4 seconds behind Feltrin. The pole Marek Zinkiewicz finishes 4th and was beaten by just 5 seconds by the swede Hernehult. Flying Fin Antti Kalhola went off road and only could finish thanks to SupeRally and a time penalty. Rank 5 in the end for Kalhola, who had hoped to place much better at his home event.

SVWRC

„The Rene Ritter drama“. Throughout most of the rally, the german was able to defend the lead against cautios driving Tommi Hirvela. However, on the very last stage the german hit a road limitation and choked off the engine of his Peugeot 207 S2000. Hirvela takes the gift and wins his home rally by 1.1 seconds. „I am really upset about this mistake, but that’s rally“, said the disappointed Rene Ritter. Lada Barvik comes 3rd with his Ford Fiesta S2000, already having a gap of 50 seconds.

PVWRC

Vlastimil Matousek brings success back to Mitsubishi. With his victory, he relegates the Subaru armada to the remaining places. Nevertheless, the rally was highly thrilling. Torsten Stein drives his Subaru Impreza N14 to second place, losing only 6.2 seconds. 3rd comes Vladimir Kubini with a gap of 10 seconds to Stein.

JVWRC

Mira Chech wins JVWRC class in his Skoda Fabia Kit Car. Piotr Walczak only could reach 2nd place with a Opel Corsa S1600. 3rd comes Lutz Steinbach with a delay of 2 minutes to the top positions. At the beginning, Miroslav Jilmnicky led the class. Unfortunately, he crashed his Opel Corsa on the penultimate stage and had to give up his ambitions to win.

V-Rookie Cup

A big surpise. This time it is not Jan Moravek, but Gregor Kruh, who is the man of the hour. Moravek had to struggle many problems and only finishes 5th. The slovene Kruh wins ahead of Jan Rybar and Oskari Willmann.

VWRC continues 12th August with the Rallye Deutschland. All news about the Virtual World Rally Championship are to be found at www.vwrc.net

Tomazic wins in Bulgaria

VWRC Rally Bulgaria

Tomazic wins close in Bulgaria.

VWRC

After place 2 in Portugal Simon Tomazic should reach the victory in the rally now. But some did not make it easy for it. It went very hotly already on WP 1. The Finn Antti Kalhola but also the Pole Marek Zinkiewicz had to have a word a say. On the following stages they relieved each other of the best time. Unfortunately, no luck had Kyon Rukawa this time and on WP 6. Simon Tomazic (SLO) wins the rally with 1.22 seconds in front of Marek Zinkiewicz (PL). On place 3 lands the Finn Antti Kalhola very constantly behind the two others.

SVWRC

We come to the S2000 now. 24 vehicles of the S2000 class accomplished the goal in Borovet. The fast stages asked everything of the pilots/co-pilots. Everything looked on WP 1 very thrillingly which, however, changed toward the end of the rally. Main characters at this fight were Daniel Krcma (CZ) and the fresh baked virtual German Rallychampion René Ritter of the Team FRC. It ran not well for the Czech Milan Ostrovsky, technical problems at the car put a spanner in the works so he found himself on complete rank 12 again. Daniel Krcma (CZ) wins the rally Bulgaria with a 10,09 seconds lead over Ritter in the class S2000. 3rd comes Ales Kulhanek.

PVWRC

Strong marching through for Tiago Rodrigues. He brought in 5 of possible 7 best time and the victory of the rally it therefore earns itself. Clear victory than for Tiago Rodrigues on Subaru Impreza N14. Mikolai Kowalski from Poland on place 2 on Lancer EVO 9 at the finish. Brand colleague the Czech Jirka Petra jun. with his Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 8 rolls by the finish barrier 53.15 seconds behind Rodrigues.

JVWRC

With the juniors there was nothing given away, everyone of the top 10 pilots here had a chance of the victory at the end. But most strongly the Czech Ondrej Janak proves himself fighting spirit and wins the rally with his Ford Fiesta S1600. But the two, Mira Cech (CZ) and Thomas Wach (PL) have not fallen asleep either. At the end, Cech on place 3 with 26.03 seconds back and Thomas Wach with only 14.93 seconds on place 2.

VWRC Rookie cup

With a restricted starter field at the VWRC Rookie cup went 5 cars to the start and 4 of this saw the finish. The Czech Jan Moravek was best at the end. With 3 minutes 40 seconds in front this is a clear victory for him. The Pole Romek Kusmirek lies behind him. Many mistakes and off rides earned him this long distance to the winner car. 3rd place goes to Kamil Karpiel, its distance to the compatriot Romek Kusmirek was also highly enough to mark off to improve place for more points in the scoring.

Kalhola wins, Feltrin not at the start

Kalhola wins, Feltrin not at the start

The till now most demanding rally in the VWRC calendar the rally de Portugal wins the Finn Antti Kalhola on Citroen C4 WRC . Estimates, rides and faults provided many Superallies.

VWRC

Superlatives duell between Antti Kalhola and Simon Tomazic provided tension purely. Permanent changes in leadership at the lead but then the fault. On the last Checkpoint Tomazic makes a mistake and must continue the rally with a penalty. The way to the victory was therefore free for Kalhola. It can not be taken away from these either any more and wins in Portugal with a 45 seconds in front of the fast Japanese Kyon Rukawa. The Podium is completed by the Sweden Dennis Hernehult. Jernej Feltrin did not start for unsolved reasons and remains dotless.

SVWRC

Milan Ostrovsky on Ford Fiesta Super2000 wins more than sovereign. The Czech is successful with over 1 minutes in front against Justinas Mikuzis. The knot now finally seems cracked for the German Hannes Fittig. Third place with a gap of 26 seconds for him in Portugal on Mikuzis. The Skoda debut almost has been successful. The Pole Darek Sawicki takes the Skoda Fabia S2000 to rank four in the finish.

PVWRC

Jirka Petra jun. provides sensation at the group N cars on the older Evo VIII model with its times. The Czech unchallengedly wins the class with a projection of 1:13 min. Tiago Rodrigues had to be content with rank two at his home match in Portugal. Third becomes the Pole Daniel Twardowski on an Evo IX

JVWRC

The victory with the juniors in Portugal goes to Poland. Piotr Walczak does not allow any fault and wins on the Skoda Fabia Kit Car with an over 2 minutes projection  of Vlasta Valek. Rank three goes Pavel Molitor also fetches like Walczak on Opel Corsa S1600. The leader Riku Putkinen did not start and therefore leaves points. The leadership, however, remains untouched.

V-Rookie cup

Slow becomes in a frightening way it. Jan Moravek wins also at the sixth event follows. The Pole Lukas Golas was bound to lose and must be content with a residue of more than five minutes. Romek Kusmirek collects Superally penalty and  gets nevertheless thirder.

The VWRC goes in the short summer break now. It goes on already at the 01.07 . in Bulgaria. All news and information like always on www.vwrc.net.
